Before I brought from Zappos I tried various running shoes at various Retail outlets but was not satisfied. I had personally tried other Brooks and Nike shoes but this one is a clear standout in terms of comfort and with very less impact to knees. I feel so excited to run everyday with these shoes and def give these shoes a try. I am 5'11 and 168 lbs and training for my first half marathon. Pros: Excellent cushioning and feels light as well. I have run 100+ miles and the shoe has been really good with very minor wear and the experience has been nothing less than fantastic. Cons: hardly anything to complain. Wish they had some styles in Black so can use in office as well. :-)
Great shoe
i had the ghost GTX (black/red) because i didnt like the color of the ghost 5. The gtx were good but my feet got way to hot in them. So when the ghost 6 came out i exchanged the gtx for the 6 and i am glad i did. great shoe with really good cushion and really lite and breathable. wish it came in more colors but the blue and yellow are pretty sweet looking
Overall you can't beat this shoe. As I was getting more and more serious about running, I realized my Nike's were hindering my performance. This is a balanced shoe for runners that don't require extra bounce or the added inside heel support. I gave these a try and was able run an additional mile without any discomfort. I highly recommend this shoe. It's certainly worth it and not to mention they look cool too.
I have only run in Brooks Ghosts the last few years. Love them. The Ghost 6 feels like it runs a little smaller than the Ghost 5s and before. I probably should have gone up half a size with these. After running about 40-50 miles in them, they feel comfortable now and I don't think about the size anymore. They feel fine.
Great Shoe, Watch out for Size
Watch out on the sizing. I wore a size 12 in the Ghost 4 and it was way too snug in the 6. I moved up to a 13 and they feel perfect. Also, this shoe feels way more breathable than the 4. I never tried the 5. Great look to this new model as well, love the color scheme.
Just got a pair a few weeks back and they are amazingly comfortable. I will say they aren't the most exciting looking shoe, but if I want style I'll buy Nike or Asics. This is my second pair of Brooks and they are the two best running shoes I've ever owned.
This is the second year in a row that I have purchased this shoe and it is great. Very comfortable and stable. I alternate runs between 2 pairs, running approx. 16-20 miles per week and they lasted a year.
My favorite running shoe. These are well made, visible in poor light, lightweight and very comfortable on long runs. I never get blisters, etc. -- they seem to be a perfect fit for me.
