I like to wear a shoe for a few weeks before reviewing it. I ordered 4 different running shoes. These were the most comfortable if not the best looking of the bunch. I make a point of wearing each pair around the house (and if a pair is uncomfortable after 5 minutes that pair is rejected), and then when I make a final determination I take the chosen pair out for spin. I did not want these Brooks Glycerins to win. The blue was loud. There were other choices which were much prettier. But we're talking about wearing shoes that will give you the comfort and support you need jogging for 40 minutes on asphalt. I am satisfied. I'm 65, and while I'm not fat, I'm what they always referred to a "big boned" or "heavy boned." I tend to supinate. I like some cushioning, but I also like to feel that my ankles are supported because my left one is a little wonky. I have experienced no blisters, no shin splints, no runner's toe. The toe box is accommodating. The width is decent for my slightly wider than average foot. The cushioning gives you just the spring you want. I felt I had a good spring in my step, but if you are a serious and faster runner, I think you should try to Brooks Ghost, which I liked but lacked the ankle support I needed. I wish these weren't screaming neon blue, but I bought them for comfort and performance, not looks.
I absolutely love these shoes. I am an RN and I use these for my 12 hour shifts. They are the best shoes I have worn for work. I loved the colors as well (the aqua is my favorite color), but my Glycerin 10's are still good, and the price tag was too much for me. I got my last ones on sale and I will have to wait until these go on sale. They are very durable (with the best arch support out of any other running shoes that I have tried) so I did not see myself wearing these for a while. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with these.
Great shoe. I use it for running and cross-training. My foot rolls to the outside, but this shoe stabilizes this. No break-in time, wear it right away. Order half a size up. I have a medium width foot, so this shoe fit perfect. Feels like people with narrow feet would love this fit too.
These are very comfortable. I need a lot of support on my forefoot and these do it for me! I used them on the track which very soft and on the street where it supports from the impact.
For the underpronator with a very high arch, to date, this is the best shoe...marshmallow comfort! For the small delicate foot, a half size smaller than normal will be necessary.
