Cabela's Scout Shirt

I haven't tested this shirt in the field yet, so this review will be based on my initial impression. This shirt is made of a lightweight polyester. It has stretch material along the sides for freedom of movement when climbing or drawing a bow. There are 2 zip pockets on the chest and 2 zip hand pockets that open into a kangaroo pocket. I normally wear a large (42 chest), and this shirt fits fine. It's a little narrow at the bottom, but it should work fine. I would classify the fit as semi-athletic. I tried the XL to see if it would work better for layering underneath, but it was huge and the sleeves were too long. I think this shirt will work great for early season scouting and hunting. It is definately for warmer weather or for being active when worn alone. The material should wick moisture and dry quickly. I plan to layer underneath once the temps start to drop. I also bought the matching pants. I had to buy a size up in the pants. I'm a 34 waist, but the mediums were way too tight in the waist.

I wrote a review on the pants that go with this shirt. I would have given this 5 stars but the neck opening is way, way too big in the opening. I was hoping for a tighter neck fit like a military combat shirt, but this isn't it. However, I do like it enough that I'm going to take it to a tailor to see if I can take it in. Its a great shirt and I'm happy to have found one that mimics a combat style shirt. Its a good buy.

I bought this shirt and the matching pants and am thoroughly satisfied with both,
The shirt is ideal for early fall w/ nicely located zippered chest pockets and a great zippered kangaroo pocket as well. I bought a size larger to allow me to layer under it as the weather gets colder.
The zip-collar offers the ability to control airflow or wear it as a mock turtle.
This will be my "go to" outfit for early to mid bow season !!!

I bought this for Arizona hunting. I am satisfied with the shirt more than the pants. I love the fit of the shirt, and love the pockets on the chest. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of lightweight camo. The pants are good. I just personally don't love the feel of the panels on the knees, but I have learned to get over it because they perform well.
