The Giro Seam helmet features the wonderful Thermostat vent system, Giro's Stack Vent, and a feather light weight. What does all of this mean? It will keep your temp under control, your goggles clear, and your comfort level at an all time high. Finish it off with the best fit system ever made for a snow helmet and you are ready for a full day on the mountain. The In Form Fit System makes it easy to dial in a custom fit in seconds even with your gloves on. An ergo-friendly dial at the base of the helmet provides up to 4cm of adjustment and enhanced stability while the vertical tuning feature accommodates different goggles and head shapes for a custom fit, free of goggle gap. Thermostat ventilation control allows you to custom tune airflow instantly with a simple, low profile control button on the outside of the helmet. No other system is faster or easier to adjust, and nothing is more effective at keeping you comfortable. Giro's Stack Vent was developed based on research showing the majority of the warm air that can cause fogging exhausts from the center top vent of the goggle. Aligning the Stack Vent in the helmet with the center vent of your goggles helps to keep them clear and fog free while maintaining total helmet and goggle integration. When it comes to protecting your head, pick up the Giro Seam helmet today.
Nobody's ever accused you of being a hothead, and they're not going to start now, not when you're wearing the Giro Seam Helmet. Twelve Super-Cool vents that can be adjusted from a single Thermostat control keep things from getting uncomfortably hot and sweaty under the Seam's polycarbonate shell, even on warm days. Add to that Giro's fine-tuned Super Fit engineering, not to mention its top-flight impact protection, and you have just run out of excuses to not wear a helmet.

actually sized down to a medium and I have a neandrothal oblong head. Measure 23.2". I own a Giro Nine-Ten in a Large. It fits where a medium does not. The Smith Vantage and Giro Montane I need a large but they look like bowling balls..big. Never liked wearing helmets much but the Seam is comfortable, light and stylish. Have so many cool wool hats that I have had made at Wapiti Woolies over the years. Looks like they will be dedicated to apres ski. I bought the Black Boneyard model and pair it with the Smith I/O in Republic Red. Wife likes the combo and that I am actually wearing a helmet after all these years.
I bought this for my Dad, but I ended up wearing it a few times too. My wife also used one for a few years. We got the red color and it definitely stands out on the slopes. It's easy to spot among the crowds at the resort. It's also quite comfortable. I have a roundish head and this fit very well once I used the adjustment.
Also, my wife hit her head quite hard last year which left a big dent in the helmet, but she was fine. So seems like it works for protection too (which is why we have it).
After owning a few snow helmets i've found the Giro's best of all. My last one was a MX G10 Which i really liked the MX style but a pain when lifting goggles up because of the peak. The seam combats this problem with having just enough of a peak to do it's job and be stylish. All the other features comfort/ adjustability second to none which i would only expect from one of these lids. 5 star from me!
excellent lid.pair it with some giro gogglesfor a solid fit that keeps the cold out. vent on the brim helps vent goggles. and the single control for all the vents is nicer than having to adjust both side individually. the padding on the chin strap is a little weird but you don't really notice it. second best of all (most important is your brain), no stank!
i still take it off when hiking or skinning, but i run anyway.
This is by far the most comfortable ski helmet that I've owned. I would recommend it to anyone, it's lightweight and comfy. The vent controls and the adjustment wheel work well and are easy to use with gloves on. The helmets brim feature matches up pretty well with any goggle, and its pretty warm. I run kinda hot but I don't have to use anything but the helmet unless it gets into the teens.
I got this helmet free brand new, but I still enjoy it & have no complaints. Giro makes good stuff, you can size it fairly well. Don't have a big gaper/beater/joey gap with the Smith I/O goggles I use, if you use a Buff headband underneath you fix that problem 100%.
Key Features: Comfortable fit, Stack Vent is great for the goggles, and the Thermostat control is easier to use than previous versions.
Fits really well and is very comfortable and warm. The ventilation also works well.
