Not only does the Mammut Glacier Line 8.3mm Climbing Rope feature a slim 8.3-millimeter diameter to save weight, it's also treated with SuperDry to fend off excess water weight during glacier travel. With an impact force of just 6.5 kN, the Glacier Line won't jerk you around if the ice below your feet gives way.

Mammut's 8.3 Glacier Line is a short, thin rope for glacier travel available only in 30 and 40 meter lengths. As its name implies, its short length and light weight make it ideal for glacier travel. It features a superDRY™ treatment which will keep it handling nicely even after it gets dragged through the snow. Note well that this is a specialized rope which should never be used as a single rope for rock climbing.
