Good Fit, Kept Me Warm In the ADKs

Never had a mummy style bag before, but loved this. Took it on a 22 mile, overnight ADK hike in October. Started off with sunny, 60 deg weather and quickly turned rainy and cold up higher. Packed down well and I fit it and my sleeping pad in my pack easily. Slept in a lean-to that night, stayed very warm...it snowed a few inches by the time we woke up. I am 5' 7" and sized up to the long (5'10") just for comfort; I think it's fine. I have room at the bottom to warm some clothes while I sleep; not sure if I would have been able to do so with the Regular size (5'7"). Love all the adjustments, the cinching hood and easily accessed zippers and they glow in the dark! I did notice that some threads don't seem to be finished perfectly, but after one trip no issues. If it doesn't hold and unravels, I will call either REI or Marmot, but I hope I don't have to. Compression sack is an excellent feature I wanted and this one seems good quality so far. Overall great purchase and value. Color is just as pictured. I hope to start camping more now that I have some proper gear. My BF has an old Slumberjack that desperately needs to be replaced (had since Boy Scouts and he's almost 30 lol) come spring and I think we will upgrade him to a Marmot Trestles as well!

Best I ever had

I have yet to use this is REALLY cold weather, but I did sleep in it when it got down to 37F. It was very cozy and kept me extremely warm. The only problem I had was it didn't have much room. I bought a regular and I'm 5'6, and I had only a few extra inches at the bottom for my feet. At some points my feet were all the way to the bottom after I moved around in my sleep. You can't bend your knees inside the bag, but you can bend the bag with your knees, and that worked fine for me since I tend to pull my knees up when I sleep.

Besides that it's one of the best sleeping bags I've owned. And the price point is also another large part of why I love it so much. You're paying for a cheap bag, and getting an extremely good bag!

Just what I needed

I brought this bag on a 40 day paddling trip to the Canadian Arctic over the summer. It was warm, comfortable and roomy. I am a corkscrew sleeper with broader shoulders and this bag was just what I was looking for. I had plenty of room for my arms and shoulders and I was able to turn without the bag twisting or ripping. Some nights it got down to about 30 degrees Farenheight and the bag kept me toasty warm. The synthetic packs fairly large, but as I was traveling in cold waters I didn't want to risk ruining a down bag.

Love Love Love it!!

I bought this bag on a whim as I was packing for Ride the Rockies. It was great for the varying temps of warm when I went to sleep and close to freezing when I woke up. Having the zipper on both sides really helps me regulate my body temp. It is a bit short but I think i'm right between sizes. I would like it more if there were zipper shields to keep the zippers from catching when I'm trying to zip in.

Great Bag

This is a great sleeping bag, I have used it several times in moderately warm conditions and have been very happy with it. It's usually about 60 degrees F and I leave the bag half-way zipped, wearing shorts and a cami, and I'm very warm all night.
Be warned, if you are a big person, it will get pretty tight. But for a 5'3", 125 lb woman, it's perfect!

Inexpensive and warm

For the price, you can't beat this bag. It's 15-degree rating was comfortable for nights at 30 and 40-degrees. It comes with a stuff sack, so it shrinks down, but is a bit on the heavy side and not ideal for backpacking.

not the best if you sleep cold

I have used this pack a few times for car camping and had intended it for backpacking. I recently tried it out in 20-25 degree weather and was not pleased with how cold I was. I am 5'5" and about 135lbs, its roomy and not confining, but I found myself wrapped up in the fetal position trying to get warm. I slept in it with all clothes on and then with minimal clothes on to see if there was any difference. I also have to say the zippers snagged very easily. I will be returning it for a warmer, smaller compressing sack as this sack takes up about 1/3 of my pack. Not a sacrifice I'm willing to make if it doesn't deliver in the warmth category. The only thing I really did like was the "stash pocket". Perfect for earplugs or chapstick.
