The Holbrook Polarized Sunglasses from Oakley.

With his brother Jesse acting as his creative director, snowboarding superstar Shaun White worked closely with Oakley during the creation of HOLBROOK. Together they went back to vintage styles like the original Oakley FROGSKINS then set out to distill their own vision of American cool. HOLBROOK is a timeless classic that echoes the screen heroes from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, the icons who inspired youth with their own brand of defiance. Who was the legend? He was sometimes a loner and sometimes a leader, an everyman who lived by a code, stood up for what was right and did what needed to be done. You wouldn’t call him a man’s man because that macho crap meant nothing to him. What you saw was what you got, including dust from the open road and a look that said he might be gone tomorrow because nothing could hold him.

Jesse grew tired of school and the football coach constantly harassing him, so he concocted a plan. First he would steal the keys to his uncle's Camaro and drive to Baja, from where he planned to launch a revolutionary new consciousness movement that would bring peace to mankind. How would his followers recognize Jesse? He vowed on that fateful first day of freedom that he would never take off his Oakley Polarized Holbrook Sunglasses.

Oakley Holbrook Polarized Reviews:

Great sunglasses. They are extremely comfortable and you often forget they are on. I hate sunglasses with the wide arms as they just hurt my ears, these, with their older classic style, fit great. They have a bit more wrap than say a frogskin, but still not too much in the periferals. Im an avid flyfisherman and the polarization on the grey lens is decent. I had the bronze previously and I feel i was able to cut through glare on the water much easier with them.

These are so awesome. They mix the retro style of the jupiter and frogskin with a square fit of something more modern. I really hate how frogskins fit on me cause i have a slightly rounder face, with this square shape I get a much better fit.
The polarization works awesome. I have taken these out on the water in Hawaii and Costa Rica a few times and it really does cut the glare out.

I hate accessories, watches or necklaces or sunglasses, hate 'em. I also never seem to be able to find sunglasses that i look good in because I have a big head and big face.
But these sunglasses have converted me. after a minute on my face, i forget they are there. The vision is crystal clear, they block the sun from all angles, and they look damn good.

These are a new addition to Oakley's line. When I first got these the initial feel is that of a frogskin. Very similar, a bit more square shape. Skiing in them I found that at speed the wrap of the frame gave great wind protection, no eye watering. These will fit bigger faces nicely, but not bad for smaller ones either. Cool piece with clean details!

The Holbrook has a great blend of retro wayfarer and new Oakley style. My only knock on these glasses is how cheap they feel. The lightweight design is great for all day wear, but they feel like they could break quite easily. I really think if you're spending money on some fragile sunglasses, Oakley should be throwing in a case.

Although I did really like the quality and shape of these glasses the frames were just too small for my huge head! I think they're for a medium face size, and would do well on people with medium or small faces. I ended up going with the Von Zipper Elmores instead, which are pretty huge and my current love.

Super stylish sunglasses. Comfortable and polarization makes them awesome in the outdoors. I wouldn't use these for any sport other than fishing or something as they don't have sticky pieces on the nose or anything. They are definitely for a larger face.

ghitch at Backcountry.com on 09/28/2012

These are seriously the coolest sunglasses ever. They have the retro style like the Jupiter and Frogskin, but has a way more squared off shape, which is perfect for people with more of a round shape to their face.

D. Joshua Christensen at Backcountry.com on 08/13/2011

I love the retro look of these, and the polarization works great! Really great tint in the grey lens. Keeps the rays out of my eyes but I can still see really clearly in sunny and cloudy.

jessica mcferran at Backcountry.com on 08/24/2013

Love the look and feel of these... I've had 'em a year now, dropped a few times, been through some falls, and they still look/feel/wear like new. Gotta love that Oakley quality!
