Oakley Oil Rig -
Oakley Oil Rig Sunglass - Men's For the pros of action sports, the rule is simple: be a leader or a loner -- just don't follow the pack. So, if you're looking for a transfusion of art and attitude, it's called Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses. Oil Rig sunglasses are built with lightweight O Matter® for comfort that won't quit on you, and the patented innovations of High Definition Optics® maintain clarity along the entire lens curve. Oakley rigged up dual-cam hinges, capped the sides with metal icons and created a continuous contour of a lens material called Plutonite® that filters out 100% of all UV. The frame is curved so even medium-sized faces get a precise fit that doesn't stick out at the sides. Clarity and impact protection meets ANSI Z87.1 standards, and as far as personal standards, this eyewear is worthy of a lifestyle that follows nobody's lead. One size fits most.

Since the Oakley Oil Rig Sunglasses are designed for man-sized skulls, you don’t have to worry if you get big-headed when you masterfully pilot your spaceship out of orbit. A lightweight O-Matter frame is matched in durability only by your cloaking device, and Polaric Ellipsoid lens geometry means the Oil Rigs follow the contour of your face for optimal coverage when you hang a right at the sun. Thanks to a Plutonite lens, no UV rays make it to your peepers during interplanetary travel.

Positive Reviews:

More of a pair of glasses for casual wear, the optical clarity is awesome. I have 2 pairs of these an love the rather "funky" look. HOwever, since they're not part of the sport line and don't have Oakley's sticky rubber bits on the ear stems, they do have a tendency to slide a little if you're sweating, especially if you put them on top of our head. Not ideal for sports but great for relaxing and hanging out.

I have 3 pairs of these. The black with text, the white with text and the white with text and ruby red lenses. These provide great coverage and very little side gap for the sun to peak in. They are light weight and have Oakleys renound optics which are second to none. The solid lens looks extremely nice and the lightweightness of the glasses helps you forget you are wearing them.

Nick Simcik at Backcountry.com on 09/29/2009

these glasses are super light, fit snug on your head, and because they have such a large lens, you forget you are wearing them because you can't see the frame on them or feel the weight on your head. they look great, and do what they are supposed to do protecting your eyes without impairing your vision

David Ehrlich at Backcountry.com on 03/23/2009

this sunglass is, needless to say, very much in style. they are very light weighted. only downside are the material is plastic and might not be worth this money for somebody if you hold them real close to see and it's sporty look might not suitable for serious events.

Had a pair of these for almost two years and still going strong. Love how the arms just pop off or i woulda broke them long ago as many times as ive sat on them

Caleb at Backcountry.com on 11/03/2010
Not bad... Aside from the price, these shades are cool! I have a big head and face, and it's hard to find something stylish. If you're the same way, get em'!

These are great sunglasses and the person that said they were bad must have gotten a bad pair. I've had mine for two years and they're like brand new.

These are awesome shades with a great look. Whoever said they suck is totally wrong. The lenses never pop out. I am going to buy a second pair!

The first pair of Oakley's i ever bought and I still wear these more than every other glasses i wear. they are pretty large overall sunglasses

Taylor Guglielmino at Backcountry.com on 02/07/2012

Definitely for casual wear. Very comfortable, look sick, love 'em. Another fine Oakley.

Negative Reviews:

These are awful! Not only are they Fugly, but the lens fell out within days. These were given as a gift, and I feel sorry for the person who paid for them.
