Patagonia Ultralight Down Vest -

Patagonia Men's Ultralight Down Vest.
The durable Ultralight Down Vest is insulated with highly compressible 800-fill-power goose down, then wrapped in the toughest lightweight nylon fabric we've ever used. With its slim, thermally efficient silhouette, it layers easily or stands alone in cold conditions. A June jaunt up the Grand Teton can blend four seasons in a single day. Our new Ultralight Down Vest will block the wind and trap core warmth when temperatures plunge. High-lofting, extremely compressible, 800-fill-power premium European goose down is encased in an ultralight nylon ripstop shell that’s ultra tough for its weight and sheds moisture with a DelugeDWR (durable water repellent) finish. The thin, thermally efficient silhouette further traps heat and is complimented by variegated channel construction that uses less down while remaining warm, and the vest slides easily over light layers or under a shell. Details: two zippered handwarmer pockets, a drawcord hem and stuffsack. Positive Reviews:

Amazingly light and compact

Love it, the nylon is tougher than the regular down vest. Which is why I returned that vest, for this item. Fits easily in a small pack for that just in case moment you may need an extra layer. I've worn it a few times front side skiing and loved how light and warm it was! I also have the Ultralight jacket too for really cold conditions love it too! So far it seems they got it right on this product!

Ripped

I'm bummed. I received this vest a few weeks ago. I rubbed against something in normal use and it ripped an inch long tear in the shell. Hopefully it can be repaired because I otherwise love the vest. It is light and very cozy in the coldest weather.

Sweet

Super light and a great insulator. This is an excellent piece for layering or by itself. I like that it is not as bulky as other down vests. Makes it easy to integrate into layering. Nice work.

slim fit vest

This vest is slim fitting and works well under most jackets. I use it around the house as a casual vest when the weather is chilling. A real plus for my wardrobe.

nice vest

Really like your ultralight down vest. It would be perfect if you can make one in a lighter color like the "Fog" for your special edition down sweater.

Negative Reviews:

fashion not function

Besides from being an extremely stylish vest and somewhat warm, I was sincerely unhappy with the performance of the piece. Everytime I take my dog for a walk in central park and its raining she gets soaked within only a few minutes. this garmet is not water proof what so ever and I wish I was informed of this before purchasing it for my dog, I guess ill have to go back to wrapping her in aluminum foil untill someone successfully make a waterproof down dog vest,
