I got these shoes for my boys to wear with their school uniform. Since they never remember to change into runners for after-school care, they also run around in them for 3 hrs after school. The boys usually destroy their shoes but so far these shoes have held up well. They definitely look worn but they aren't falling apart. The shoes are comfortable with a soft leather upper and have a substantial enough rubber sole for running around in. So far I am happy with the purchase.

This is the second time we've purchased these shoes for school and everyday wear. We had a really terrible pair in-between, and I'd forgotten how nice these were in the interim! They look really sharp and hold up well...perfect uniform shoes for a boy like my son, who's rather abusive of shoes. I expect they'll last the whole year like the last pair (if he doesn't outgrow them first!). In other words: it's worth the extra money.
