Stoic Thrive Short -
Feathery-light and highly-breathable, the Stoic Thrive Short keeps you cool whether you're backpacking through the desert or nailing heel hooks on a ferocious boulder problem. Amidst the heat of spring and summer, this short's welded construction makes your chafe-inducing cotton shorts look childishly unprepared.

Fit:

  • 3-D Ergonomic fit tapers from the waist to hips and uses a slightly looser fit towards the knees so this short can move as you move

Fabric:

  • Magically lightweight material means that these shorts weigh in at just six ounces
  • Welded construction eliminates annoying seam bulk and reduces the opportunities for uncomfortable chafing

Ventilation:

  • Breathable and dynamic Thrive stretch-weave material vents body heat and wicks sweat away from your body

Weather and Wind:

  • A water-resistant DWR coating shrugs off light drizzle and the occasional post-climb cocktail spill

I'm up to four pair of these shorts. After Memorial Day, they're pretty much all I want to be wearing. They are super lightweight and I love that they don't have seams (to speak of).
I flipped my kayak wearing these and I was dry in about 15 min. A good portion of the water just beaded off. Besides getting the job done while you're in the wild, they look pretty dang stylish on the street too.
I usually wear a small in shorts, but needed to go up a size on these.

These shorts are going to be fantastic this summer. I was wearing them around the house this week and they feel like they're barely there. I have relatively large thighs and a large posterior, and these are stretchy enough to fit great. The one odd thing about them is that I bought two pairs in Large, and the waist size seems to be about 2" different in them, although the adjustable sides seem to be able to make up the slack.

These are great shorts. They are lightweight, move well when you are active, and feel durable. They are nearly identical to the Stoic Thrive SUP, with the only noticeable difference being no third zip-up pocket. The length on this feels the same as the Thrive SUP- I'm 5'11" and these go just below my knee.
For sizing- I have a 33-34 waist and a Large fits awesome.

I bought a pair of these for trail running, rafting, canyoneering, etc. They had a good fit to them, they fit true to size. I have not had a seam blow out yet which is good. The one drawback about these shorts are the pockets. I do recommend them for warm or wet outdoor activities.

Yes these are like wearing nothing. Perfect for hiking in Utahs HOT summers. could never figure out why Hiking shorts had to be made of thick canvas with 6 cargo pockets, flaps, snaps. Yes they have 2, almost worthless pockets, but so what. They do have a built in belt , and really long inseam.

So light, stretchy, and comfortable. But durable at the same time. As a backpacker, you couldn't ask for more. They weigh NOTHING in your pack, the welded seams ensure long life, and they dry so quickly it's unbelievable. Another solid garment from Stoic. I love this company.

Incredible shorts. The material is stretchy and super comfortable. Perfect for hiking, kayaking, rafting and just about any other summer activity you could think of. They dry out very fast. I'd dare say these are my favorite pair of shorts that I have ever owned.

These are great casual shorts, Everyday, hiking, whatever. I love the stretch and look like a normal pair of shorts. Pockets are a little small but its all good.
I'm 6' 175, 34" waist and L fits me perfect.
And at $40 how do you go wrong!

love the stretch, love the fit, love the light weight, love the pockets, love the blue color. Climb, hike, swim, chill. Anything you want to do, these are up for the job. Love'em!

They aren't kidding when they say these are lightweight running/hiking shorts, you almost feel like you're going around in the buff! Just wish the pockets were a bit bigger...

These are great shorts but if you are on the shorter side, they run a bit long.
