Most comfortable house shoe ever!

I never wear house shoes because I love to be barefoot in the house and I get too hot. However I had a major foot break 3 years ago and had emergency surgery and had to have a plate and 6 screws put in my foot/ankle. I was one bedrest for 2 months. After I healed I had a hard time walking barefoot. I couldn't even walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night without shoes on. Socks didn't help. I spoke with my orthopedic surgeon and he advised me to get some comfortable GOOD quality house shoes until I was able to walk barefoot again. Since I HATE wearing house shoes I knew this would be a problem. I tried on several house shoes. I found these and liked them because I was able to wear these and I didn't have to wear socks. The rubber sole made them sturdy enough to ease my pain when I didn't have shoes on. I put these shoes right at my bedside and would slip them immediatly on when I got out of bed. Now almost 3 years later I have no foot pain when I walk barefoot but now I have a problem with taking these off. I love them! I wear them all the time around the house. I love the way they feel so much that I even bought a pair of boots this year. My sister just moved to my town to attend college and every time she comes over she wants to wear my house shoes. I ended up buying her a pair for xmas this year because I love mine to much to share. ....She loves her too! The only con is that the tie doesn't stay tied. I have to double knot them to keep them tied. I see now that there is a scallop pair without the tie. I am going to get those. I am definatly a forever UGG customer now.

Beautiful moccasins!

I bought these moccasins as a gift for my grandmother. She is getting hard to shop for because she has everything, but I knew she would never spend this much on a pair of slippers and no one else would think of getting these for her. I also knew that she deserved a pair and would fall in love with them. She did! Every time I go to see her she has them on and tells me how great they are. I read many reviews and it seems these run a little smaller (funny because most Ugg boots run big) so I sized up for her and they fit perfectly. I have never been so proud of a gift I've gotten for someone. I don't even think she knows what Uggs are or how much they cost which makes it even better (she'd scold me for spending that much on slippers for her - lol). Point being is that she doesn't love them because they say Ugg on them - she loves them because they are of awesome quality and make her feet feel great - not to mention they are super cute and now I want a pair!

Try these on at the store before buying

Make sure you try these on at the store before purchasing because the fit on UGG Dakota slippers is inconsistent. I generally wear sizes 8-8.5 wide in women's shoes. After reading some of the other reviews about fit, I decided to go up in size and purchased a pair of these in the Dusty Rose color in size 9. They were amazing - fit comfortably, cute style, great color, warm. I loved them so much that I decided to splurge and treat myself to a second pair for the holidays. This time I purchased them in Espresso, also in size 9, and they were a huge disappointment. Style, color and warmth were all still great, but the fit was narrow. I thought they would stretch, but they didn't. Instead, they start to hurt when you wear them for a few hours, but since I've already worn them, I can't return them. I'm not sure how the fit can be so different when the shoes are supposedly the same style and same size. So, wonderful shoe, but try them at the store first because the size for this style appears to be very inconsistent.

An EVERYDAY shoe!!

These shoes are so cute! I bought the tobacco color two years ago for both my sister and I and we wear them pretty much every day! They are so comfortable and durable! I wear them with all kinds of jeans (skinny jeans, boot cut, regular) and even shorts and capris. You really can't go wrong! I call them my school, study, driving, travel, shopping, etc. shoe. I just bought the pewter as my second pair and I plan on getting the espresso soon as well! These shoes last! The only downside is that the leather bow comes undone sometimes so you have to remember how to tie it (if you don't tie it correctly they look pretty terrible and unkept). Also, I recommend wearing no-show socks that are made for use with flats to prolong the quality/life of the shoe interior. These shoes are definitely worth the money because they will last much longer than cheaper versions. Some of my friends buy cheaper versions over and over because they fall apart or get ruined by rain. I've still got my UGGs!

LOVE LOVE LOVE....but...

I bought a cheap pair of mocs last winter and my feet were always cold and wet. So I decided to buy some UGG mocs...and though I hesitated at first because of the price, I definitely have come to think they were worth every cent. In fact, I now own three pairs of these mocs, and I'll probably buy more at some point. They are super warm and comfortable (which is great in snowy, cold places like upstate NY), and above all they keep my feet completely dry (even when walking across campus in the pouring rain!). HOWEVER, it is true that the toe wears out and gets dirty quickly, as the sole of the shoe offers zero protection to the toe area. Also, the bow comes untied very often, which isn't a big deal, just annoying. UGG recommends buyers order a size smaller than they normally would, which I did. At first the mocs felt very tight, but after wearing them for a few days they did stretch out and now they fit my feet perfectly. I definitely recommend these shoes!

Love these slippers!

I bought these slippers three years ago and I still wear them all the time! What I like about this style over some of the others, is that they are fully enclosed around the foot, versus the slip on kind, which helps keep my feet warm. The sheepskin lining is great, and the rubber sole is nice because I don't worry about wearing them outside. I have worn mine outside many times going to school, or out running errands. They look cute with jeans, but I have mostly worn them around the house. I am a true size 7 and that is the size that I purchased. When I first got them they were too snug, the bulky lining eventually squished down and molded to my foot, and now they fit perfectly! The only problem that I have had with them is the bow coming untied. Once the bows came undone they were constantly coming untied, so I had to stitch them in place. My only suggestion would be to secure the bows by sewing or glueing while they are new.

espresso

I was debating on these (dakotas) or the scalloped moc. In a way I wish I went with the scalloped moc because my LACES CONSTANTLY COME UNTIED!! I'm going to look online/put glue on them to keep them from doing this. It's pretty much the most annoying/con of the shoe. Also the scalloped moc didn't offer it in espresso.
In the classic ugg I wear a size 5, but in these I wear a size 6. I actually went to a store to try them out, before I bought them to make sure of the size. I normally wear a size 6 in regular shoes. They are VERY SNUG the first time. They shouldn't HURT to get on, but be VERY tight. After even an hour worth of wear they loosened up, this is expected. So don't get to freaked out. Overall they're very cute, I've been wearing them outside in the snowy weather, and haven't had a problem. I sprayed them with waterproof stuff before hand. Overall great shoe, comfy and great as slippers or to wear outside.

These Shoes(:

Okay, so I am a highschooler, and I have had these shoes for two years. Let me just say, I am wearing them until they die. Describing how tough I am on shoes is like describing how well two year olds treat their things...not very well. My UGG slippers have been through it all, and yet, they have still survived. However, they look very worn in. The stitching is coming undone, my laces broke, the soles are ripping, the interior of the shoe looks depressing, the sheepskin lining is coming out and shedding. So, why would I give this shoe a perfect review? Because, as I mentioned earlier, I am tough on shoes. I wear them year round, through the snow, on the Megabus, etc. They have been everywhere I have for the past two years and continue to please me. Also, I didn't take the best care of them. It's obvious by how badly they are coming apart. I still happen to love them. They are just perfect for me. Plus, they are worth every penny.

Great everyday Slipper Love Them!

Love these shoes. I'm on my 4th pair. I say they are true to size but you must break them in and let them stretch. I love these shoes as I have nerve damage in my feet and these do not bother my feet like other shoes do. I wear these around the house and out shopping etc. I'm on my 4th pair only because i wanted different colors. The only problem is that the lace does come untied but if you get someone strong to pull them tight they stay longer. Love these shoes, can't say enough good about the comfort and quality. I work at dog rescue and i have my oldest pair for my puppy pen and they have held up great and still going strong. They are very comfortable and keep my feet warm without being hot. Always easy to slip on and go and very stylish. I love the different colors. Great for running the dogs out also, because the souls are very durable. Highly recommend for comfort, warmth and durability.

LOVE these shoes

I wear these with skirts, shorts, and skinny jeans. I wear them around the house but I bought them for outdoor shoes. These are so so so cute, especially in that Bleached Aqua which is what I have but i love them so much I might buy a few more colors. A lot of people said they are wearing them during the winter but I dont think that would be best because they wouldnt keep the snow out of the shoe so I am going to wear them in the late spring, summer and early fall. They are super soft and comfy, and I have had no problem with the string coming undone but if you do you could always glue it in place or hand sew a stitch through the tie. :] Oh and also Buy true to your size because they are supposed to fit snug when you first get them but the fur will get less fluffy and they will loosen. If you are in between sizes try the next size down.

Super Cute, Comfy But Over Priced

As soon as I laid eyes on these last Christmas season, I knew I had to have the tobacco colored ones. I did get them as a gift from my hubby. I ended up having to return my 7's for 8's though I usually can get away with size 7's when shoes don't come in half sizes. These shoes, the 7's wouldn't even budge. At first, they were sooooo comfy and I LOVED them- wore them EVERYWHERE. In my opinion, you really can't wear socks with them. I assumed because of this and the hefty price tag, UGG would have been smart and made a great insole so that when your feet sweat in these things, they wouldn't get smelly so quick. I don't have smelly feet at all, but boy-oh-boy, these things got smelly quick. I could hardly believe it. And from sweating, the fur would like mold to one position and stay there and not move anywhere else and it would feel so weird, idk. And it says that the lining for whatever reason heads away moisture and also keeps your feet dry? That's so weird because it's a FUR material. I found some places, that they made replacement insoles, so I ended up ripping mine out to see if they were the kind that were removable and guess what? They weren't. GREAT, right? I did wash them, but it didn't do much for them, maybe made them worse. I think UGG needs to make these shoes with replacement insoles because of the fact you WILL sweat in them and they will eventually start to stink, whoever you are. I am a very very clean person. The leather laces no longer stay tied either. You tie them one second and they come untied the next. If I wear them for long periods of time, my feet kill me now. Bummed because I really loved these shoes and still kinda do even though they went down hill so quick : (

Cute, But Complications

I have a wide foot and size ten in womens. Basically, I wore the shoes for just one day and in the middle of it, my toe started to hurt. When I arrived home, the patch of "fur" near my pinky toe was gone and the moccasin had been rubbing up against it for that day. So, thinking it was just an accident or something, I got another pair. SAME PROBLEM occurred. I need to return this pair to the company, not the Dillard's I purchased it from. Also, the tie at the tip kept coming undone. I did get compliments though. Very cute.

What was I thinking

I was extremely disapointed by your product. This is my first UGG purchase and probably my last. After one use the moc spread out and I have a narrow foot. It looks bulky and clunky. There is absolutely no support and my feet hurt after a couple of hours of use. I was flying and was sitting most of the time. I can't imagine what would happen after a long period of time standing with these on and I don't want to find out. What a disappointment and waste of money.

Not happy after paying such a price

I have only had this product for about a year and dont treat them badly. I DID love them, and thought they looked cute with many outfits. that is until recently I see that the outside skin of the moc near the toes is split. I am not sure what happened or how it happened. but I was extremely upset in the quality of only having them for a year. also even with the waterproof spray on they still get wet, and if worn without socks your feet will swet.

Not A Good Fit

Purchased for my daughter. The shoes are lovely, but she couldn't get her foot into the shoe. She is a size 8 -- I've always purchased UGGs for her in that size. Maybe the lining is so thick that it prevents the proper fitting. In any event, I must return. And, while I would recommend to a friend, I would suggest that they purchase in a store where they could get the best size since they may need as much as half to a whole size larger.
Deb at Skis.com on 12/12/2012

Would not buy these....

I bought these about a year ago. The fit was fine and I only wore them occasionally around the house. After only 2 months (maybe worn 10 times on carpet) the sewing around the edges completely pulled out. They frayed, then the bow came out and they looked awful and couldnt be put together. Unfortunately, I didnt have my receipt, so after 2 months I had to get rid of them. They are not made well at all.Terrible and would NOT recommend!

I got these and i thought they were going to be comfy, NOT. My daughter got a pair from and she LOVES them, well i figured id get a nicer pair from UGGS, but i like hers better. These are too tight. I wear a size 6 and i cant even wear them i have a wide for but not to wide, but i just returned them. I will say UGGS returning system is GREAT

Had to send back because of size

I purchased these slippers at 2 different times. I purchased size 11 last year and had to send back because they were too snug. This year, I purchased size 12 from UGG and were disappointed that they were still too narrow and unconfortable. I sent them back again. I am a size 11 and I do not have a very wide foot but they were too snug and uncomfortable for slippers.
Dawna at Skis.com on 06/06/2011

Loved them, but they wore TERRIBLY!

I have had these shoes for just a year. I have loved them for their comfort. I have used them only as slippers and only indoors. I am VERY disappointed that they wore so badly. The lace part between the side and the top is coming apart. I think for the price you pay for UGGS, they should last much longer than they did.
Julie at Skis.com on 12/12/2010

Top of shoe gets dirty/worn really quick

These shoes are really cute with jeans/casual clothes and I was so excited to wear them then I realized that the sole of the shoe doesn't cover the front of the shoe causing the toe to get worn out so quickly and dirty from constantly stepping down onto it with nothing protecting it. Really disappointing that they didn't make the sole protect the toe.

Not for me.

I usually wear a size 8.5-9 in normal shoes, and I have a size 9 Ugg boot. I ordered a size 9 in the Dakota, couldn't wait to receive it, but when I tried it on, it was really tight all around. I loosened the laces, wore them for 2 days straight as I heard that they stretch out, but they were still too tight. I knew I had to return them when my toes began cramping from having them on too long. I reluctanly returned them for a size 10, hoping that they just ran small. When I got the size 10 today, they were huge length-wise, but still really tight around the ball of my foot. I have never worn a wide-width shoe in my life, and I really can't understand why these didn't fit. Such a shame, though, as they were super comfy and soft on the inside, and seemed like a quality shoe all around. Too bad for the poor sizing. Guess I'll try the Ansleys next.

Dakota chestnut

I wear these maybe once or twice a week casually. They are cushiony and warm but they feel a half size too big. I needed like a 3 1/2 but I believe UGG does not sell half size which sucks because they eventually stretch and end up too wide. I first ordered a size 2 which are the size of my UGG classics but these were way too small in the Dakota so I figured a size 4 would be good. I was wrong but I was tired of mailing back and having to wait for them to come back so I settled for the 4 which I shouldn't have. I should have gotten a size 3 and would have been happier with my purchase. I love the show overall I just wish they didn't feel so big on me. I would recommend these to a friend but I would advise them to go to the stores to get their true size.
Rika at Skis.com on 03/03/2012

cute but looks like a man's shoe

Super warm and comfy. Seem to be made really well. They're pretty true to size but might feel a bit snug at first because of all the wool. If you're in between or aren't sure, go a half size bigger. I wear between and 8.5-9 and bought the 9.0 and they fit perfect. I don't like the shape of the top part of slipper at all. It comes down too far on the foot. It should be closer to the toes. It look like a man's slipper and makes your foot look two sizes bigger. I bought them for my sister because I have the copycat Uggs and love them. I actually like mine better. Hopefully she won't know the difference not having something to compare it to. Next time, I would check out them out in the store first and also check out the Mandie style. They might be cuter and fit more like a woman's shoe.

Not much of a looker but super comfy

After reading the many great reviews on the Dakotas I had very very high hopes. I needed something warm enough for NY-winters to wear with my boot-cut jeans. Sadly, these can't quite make the mark. They're very bulky. Every time I put them on and look down I feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. However, they are so warm and comfortable that I've decided to keep them. Perhaps after they mold to my feet they will look better with jeans. They also run different from the sizing of the Classic tall boots, of which I'm a size 7. I ordered size 8 (I'm normally 8-8.5), they were a bit tight but after a couple hours they seemed to stretch. The labels inside the shoes are a bit scratchy but socks solved that problem. I would recommend these if you wanted something super comfy but not all that stylish.

SO, SO

I loved these moccasins when i first got them! they were never off my feet, i wore them around the house, to class, everywhere! i got them for xmas i decided these over boots because everyone i know has ugg boots and i wanted something differnt. even though they only lasted me one winter in ohio they are still worth the money!
i usually wear a 7 but i got a 6 because they told me they would stretch out and they never did :( i have wide feet and they are very narrow. go one size up! and i dont recommend wearing them if its wet out, once the bottoms were a little wet my feet froze all day!

i plan on buying classic short chestnut boots this winter and another pair of dakotas because they are so comfy!

Not as comfortable as Ugg boots+slippers

I love all of my other Ugg products. I have two sizes in these a 7 in brown and 8 in the lightest color. My first was a 7 but they squeezed my foot. It took a lot of wearing to loosen. The slipper is heavy- and weighted on you foot. Not light and cushiony- Because I love Ugg I decided to see if an 8 was better. the 8 fit the width of my foot better, however, it's too long. Still heavy. I was hoping my foot would feel wrapped up in cozy soft fur. My coquette slippers are preferred as far as the slippers and all of my boots are great, I own baily button, short ones, tall ones, bomber, the adirondacks too.

Way too Tight

My boyfriend bought me these in Tobacco for Christmas. I have four other pair of UGG, three of which are size 6s and one of which are 5s. I'd told my boyfriend I'm normally a 6 in UGG (though I'm an 8 in regular US sizing), as my boots and other slippers fit just fine. These, however, I can barely get on my feet and they're so tight that my feet go numb. Unfortunately, he didn't think to purchase directly from UGG for some reason, so return shipping isn't at all worth it to exchange, even if the retailer had my size in stock. I will be attempting to stretch them with some spray and a shoe stretcher. Hopefully I don't ruin them!

Still on the fence

I just purchased these shoes yesterday. Love the style, color I chose (chestnut), but they are very NARROW and I do not have a wide foot. I got the size I normally wear and it is perfect in length. Still trying to decide whether to keep them. If they do not stretch a bit, I am considering returning them. Only other thing is-I wish it covered more of the top of my foot. But they are comfortable other than that and feeling a little narrow for me. Advice to keep the laces tied-Get the laces wet and then tie it tight, let them dry.

i bought my uggs today at the mall. i wore them for an hour and they are already getting damaged in the front. you cant really notice it that much but im dissapointed. besides that, i got a size 8 and i think they are extremely comfy. they feel so mushy and squishy whenever i take a step. they are very stylish and cozy and i will wear them for a long time. you can wear them in and outside the house. i would definatley reccomend these shoes to a friend.

Tight in the Toes

I wanted to love these slippers, but just couldn't keep them. The toe box was super tight, and I DONT have wide feet. They were very stiff and I just felt that they wouldn't ever break in to the flexible slipper that I craved. That being said, they were great quality and well-built. Could be worn inside or outside because of the heavy-duty sole. I have Ugg Classic boots, and these are a totally different feel; not flexible like my boots.
