These boots initially looked and almost felt like they might be a hair too narrow but once I wore them they felt very nice. There is almost no breaking in period. Usually my legs and even my back will hurt in the process of wearing new shoes. In this case, there was nothing. I work in a warehouse 40-50 hours a week and beat the crap out of my boots and it seems thus far these will take a beating. I had to walk home from work (about 3 miles) a couple of times last week and after arriving home I felt fine (other than my feet feeling tired from being on them all day, of course). These are definitely my favorite pair of work boots so far.
Instant Comfort - This boot nneded no "break-in" period. The eyelets and lacing hooks made for extremely easy on and off. Most comfortable boot I have worn. Boot is not as warm as I expected - but it is basically a leather boot so a pair of insulated socks helps.
Suggested footbed improvment - The Wolverines durashocks insulated waterproof work boot really kicks (pun intended) It would provide better comfort if there was a little tarsel support for the area just to the rear of the ball of the foot.
BUY 'EM! Very satisfied with this boot. All features perform well. Zappos service is sensational!
