Burton Cartel EST Binding - Men's: Most of Burton's pros choose the Cartel EST. Competition-crushing control meets mind-altering feel! Burton's patented AutoCANT cushioning reduces fatigue and provides smoother, more direct board control. The lightest weight, most comfortable straps yet team up with a redesigned hi-back to wrap a new level of response around your boots. A shade more powerful than the Malavita but not quite as aggressive as the Diode, the Cartel EST offers the perfect balance for owning everything.
The Burton Cartel EST Bindings mean business. Returning for this model is the Zero-Lean, Single-Component canted highback. Also returning is the Living Hinge system that allows you to adjust your forward-lean and highback rotation independently. The React strap is minimal and completely conforms to your boot giving you absolute comfort and support. The Gettagrip Capstrap conforms to the toe of your boot and locks your heel back into the heelcup of the binding without creating pressure points. The Cartel EST features Burton's dual-component Smooth Glide buckles allow for quick ratcheting and buttery smooth releases. The AutoCANT SensoryBED adjusts to your stance automatically so no need for guesswork on how much canting you need. The SensoryBED is also removable if you choose to have your feet directly on the board. The Burton Cartel EST is a mid-stiff binding designed to provide you with ample response without being overly aggressive. Assassinate the mountain with the Burton Cartel EST binding.

The legendary Burton Cartel EST Snowboard Binding has been updated again to give you even more performance. The newest addition to the Cartel is the Hinge, allowing your foot to roll side to side for bigger and easier ollies. The Living Hinge Hi-Back improves heel-side response, and lets you adjust the forward lean quickly and without tools. The Cartel EST is on the stiffer side, providing response and precision for aggressive riders. AutoCANT SensoryBED Cushioning blends soft and stiff cushioning to create a more natural riding position and definitely more comfort.

For those of you who have been stung by sub par cartels in the past, fear not, the new cartels are a vast improvement on the previous model. The missions were always the better binding in contrast to the cartels in the past, however the cartels makeover was fruitful. A softer high back and additional cushion on the foot bed makes for a nice platform for park riding or a day in the back country. These are the best all around bindings and won't let you down. There is really no need to spend the extra money on Burtons super high end bindings. Also if you are just making the shift to EST, welcome to the best decision you ever made.
Even if you are one of those who is anti Burton, you should give these a try at some point. Reliability is key, and with the Cartel, this is what you are buying. A binding that will last, be comfortable, and meet the needs of any rider. Give them a try, see what you think!
