Burton Imperial Boot - Men's: A banquet dinner on a buffet budget! The Imperial is 30 years in the making. Burtons boot building expertise was all you've been waiting for, and broken in right out of the box!
For the best of the best year after year comes the Burton Imperial Snowboard Boots. The Burton Imperial is the sum of all those years and hard-learned lessons culminating into a boot that gives you the absolute most bang for your buck. The Imperial features Burton's Shrinkage tech which reduces your footprint by a whole size while shedding excess weight in the process. Speed Zone Lacing System places the power of true zonal lacing in your hands. Rad Pad alleviates pressures points caused by liner lacing so you can crank down without cranking down on pressure points. The Vibram EcoStep Rubber Outsole is constructed from 30% recycled materials and provides superb grip with its rubber ice spikes. Did we mention that it's a Vibram outsole? The Low-Profile EST optimized midsole with B3 gel provides the dampening while delivering phenomenal board feel. The medium flex thin profile 3D molded tongue provides support and comfort while allowing for some freestyle shenanigans. Total Comfort Construction means the Burton Imperial is superbly comfortable right out of the box. You know how other snowboard boots 'pack out' after a few sessions? Well, not the Burton Imperials baby.

Sick of spending 25 minutes tying and re-tying your laces? The Burton Imperial Snowboard Boot makes it easy to get the perfect, snug cinch every time. The Imperial has Speed Zone lacing which lets you adjust the upper and lower sections separately. An S4 shell panel puts this boot on the stiffer side, and helps distribute energy to your bindings for quick response. The mid-sole is designed to get you lower and closer to the board, improving the feel. There's B3 gel too to absorb harsh impacts. Ice spikes on the sole give you sure footing for slippery decks and icy parking lots.

Features:
• Support Rating: 7 (Support rating on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being softer and 10 being responsive)
• Speed Zone Lacing System for Ture Zonal Lacing Control.
- Reduces the boot’s overall footprint one full size, meaning a men’s size 10 fits like a size 10, but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, sleeker—never suffer from toe drag again.
- Superlight and resilient, S4 shell panels evenly distribute strap pressure to maximize rebound and resist breakdown for consistent flex, season after season.
• New Power Up Firm Flex Thin Profile 3D Molded Tongue.
• New Vibram Ecostep Rubber Outsole (30% Recycled)
• Rubber Ice Spikes.
• Low-Profile EST Optimized Midsole - EST goes beyond bindings by optimizing the soles on select boots for a more direct connection. Lower-profile, lighter weight, and with a reduced ramp angle, EST lowers your center of gravity and improves feel.
• B3 Gel - Ultra-dampening B3 Gel inserts.
- Get an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box.
• Level 2 Molded EVA Footbed.
• ESS Support Shank - The added support reduces fatigue while preventing your arch from collapsing on itself when you bomb drop a 40-footer.
• Imprint 3 Liner - Heat Moldable.
• Focus Cuff - Boosting heel-hold by hugging that sweet spot around your ankle, the Focus Cuff rides slightly higher on your ankle for increased response.
• Rad Pad - Located on the top of your instep, right where the liner laces exert the most pressure.
• Aegis Antimicrobial Coating
The Burton Imperial snowboard boot is a freeride boot with freestyle sympathies. The supportive medium-stiff flex comes into its own when you're charging steeps and spinning the biggest jumps in the park, but it's forgiving enough to be comfortable all day. The Speed Zone dual zone lace system independently adjusts the lower and upper sections of the boot, so your feet won't move, and you can customization your support. Like the rest of Burton's lineup, Shrinkage technology reduces your footprint by a full boot size, and that means less toe drag. S4 shell panels in the upper free up the flex, so you don't have to sacrifice the tweakability you want for the support you need. When you overshoot a hardpack landing, the B3 Gel padding protects against heel bruises. For aggressive freeriders, or larger, more powerful freestylers, it doesn't get much better than the Imperial.
The men's Burton Imperial snowboard boots help you reign over the entire mountain. Cushioned soles and liners outfit your feet for all-day sessions where comfort and performance are key.

I had the 2013 Imperial and it was perfect for my narrow foot. True to size, the 11.5 was true to what I normally wear. Toe right at the tip of the liner, fully extended with no undue pressure. I think Burton rates this at like a 5/10 on the stiffness scale, but I find these pretty snappy, as well comfortable. I'm riding aggressive all-mountain. You may want something a little more playful for the park. The lacing system works well for me. The pullstrings are a bit of a pain to deal with when you're ready to stash them, because they are really long, BUT this lets you avoid hunching all the way over to cinch up, and you can really crank on the handles. Bomber.
This year the liner is even more accommodating comfort-wise. I can wear them all day, they are great for me.
Boot is such a upgrade from my old moto's. The liner has velcro to hold the tongue stable so no shifting during riding. Have a protective cover over top of foot to help reduce pressure on top of midfoot due to bindings. The inner lace is connected to inside of boot instead of actual liner so it tightens you foot down to boot so no heel popouts. The boot is stiffer then moto's but still has some give. They are very responsive. The speedlace system is first time for me and they are sweet. Tighten up fast and stay tightened. Quick and easy. Overall happy as hell with boot. Must buy.
These boots are by no means stiff. They are very responsive though. Very comfortable out of the box. I had to go down a 1/2 size compared to other companies. Match well with burton bindings but I had foot pain with with some other companies straps/binding. Like them a lot but concerned about how many days I will get out of them. Easiest speed lace system to tighten I have used.
