Pretty good soft shell
I seem to keep coming back to Columbia products for outerwear. The price and durability are very respectable. The shell itself does a great job shedding water. While not waterproof, if you're hopping from car to stores in the rain, you'll be fine. On the trail, you better put on your rain shell. The fleece liner seems to be under 100 grams in weight. The other 100 gram fleece I have from them is warmer, so I'm assuming it was made lighter because it was paired with a windproof shell. Anyway, it's a little less warm than I was anticipating. All I do is change what I wear underneath and it's good to go. For trail hikes, I throw on the Patagonia Capilene 1/4 zip and this softshell and I can regulate heat pretty well with the zippers. As with any softshell, if you choose to wear long sleeve shirts underneath, expect to have some trouble getting your arms in the sleeve. Overall, it's a great jacket and you won't be let down.

Really like this jacket. It is a great value in my opinion, and as I like Columbia products anyway, it was an easy choice to make.
