With three jackets in one, the Columbia Women's Whirlibird Interchange Jacket has a removable liner so you get the right amount of warmth and protection every wintery day. Its shell features an Omni-Tech waterproof breathable membrane and waterproof zippers that keep you dry in rainstorms and ski sessions alike. The shell has vents under the arm so you can cool off from your intense runs. A powder skirt keeps snow off your back when you sit down to strap on a snowboard, and you can snap it back if shredding isn't on your day's to-do list. An adjustable storm hood cinches down during blustery blizzards, or you can remove it if it's a bluebird day.
The removable liner has an Omni-Shield coating to resist light flurries and stains when weather isn't a concern but messy meals might be. It's Omni-Heat Thermal Reflective lining mirrors your own body heat back to you, and it has Omni-Heat insulation that boosts your body temps whether you're wearing the liner with the shell on the chairlift or wearing it alone around town. The liner's cuffs are very comfortable around your wrists, and they have thumbholes to keep your sleeves in place.

I got this coat because I wanted to try the thermal feature created by Columbia. I must say I will never wear another type of coat. It is so warm. Being a person that is always cold and in the past having issues with shivering because none of my body heat was staying in I wanted a furnace! I found it! The moment I put this coat on I feel the reflective beads heating me up with my own body heat. In the early fall I am comfortable just leaving the jacket open but it's a lifesaver in the winter!
The fit is perfect for me. I usually wear a small but I got a medium just because I do like to wear hoodies and other layers under my coat. It gets a bit snug if I have a heavy long sleeve on with a hoodie than the coat.
I like the thumbhole cuffs that keep my wrists warm and keep the coat from riding up.
Also, this coat is extremely waterproof. I was in a rain storm and my pants were soaked by my core was dry and the water just beaded off the coat.

Last year I purchased OmniHeat ski pants. I tend to always be cold and OmniHeat worked for my legs but I still had a ton of layers up top. This year I decided to purchase an OmniHeat jacket to cut down on the layers. Although I have not taken it out skiing yet, I have used the OmniHeat inner jacket no -stop
Since receiving it. It works great. The color of the outer shell is gorgeous and will help others locate me on the mountain easily. Now I just need some snow!
