Love love love these sandals! They dont give me blisters and are easy to put on. I wear them daily in the summer, very comfortable to walk and hike in. Get them wet, and they dry quickly. Love them in our many Moab trips - they grip slickrock really well. The saddest thing is putting them away for winter! I have another pair of Keen shoes that I wear in the winter, and they are just as comfortable. Keens have definitely given my Birkenstocks a run for their money!
I tried on a pair of Venice H2 sandals in a shoe store, and liked them, but they didn't have the color I wanted. So I was excited to find them on Backcountry.com, and for $20 less than the shoe store. I already knew I needed a half size larger than my usual, because I had tried on the identical shoes. What I didn't realize, though, was that trying them on with socks on in the store was different from wearing them barefoot at home. There is a seam that runs the length of inside of the top of the shoe, and it left a painful indentation in the top of my foot. To be fair, I am very sensitive to seems (I wear all of my socks inside out) so this may not be a problem for those with tougher feet. But for me, the bottom line is that I'm glad Backcountry.com had a good return policy, because these shoes definitely need to go back.
The shoes were too wide, and when I tried to tighten them up, the toe then curled up and the shoes were then too short.
I'd love to write a review but it appears the shoe IS NOT AVAILABLE IN MY SIZE! Botheration!
The shoe was really nice, but I just couldn't get it to fit right. One size was too loose the next smaller was too tight. I was really disappointed that I couldn't manage to have one or the other fit. I have to say though that the return policy is great and I was pleased with the service... just wish the shoe fit.
I have had keens sandals for years. These are the same comfortable fitting shoes I am used to but I do feel that are not quite as well made as previous purchases.
