"This is by far the most versatile piece of outdoor apparel that I own! Not only does it fit me perfectly, it is also extremely warm for the weight. I can stuff this down to the size of a baseball and throw it in my pack and not have it take up a ton of space. The DriClime Windshirt is also windproof so I can throw it on during colder windy days and stay toasty warm with minimal layers. It also has a sweet chest pocket for my skittles!"
This windshirt will be so comfortable, you won't believe it until you try it on.
Topping the charts year after year, the "Original's" legendary, cozy, wind-blocking warmth is now being handed down from one generation to the next.

DriClime.
DriClime® Moisture Management Technology is a family of uniquely plaited bi-component knit fabrics engineered to mechanically draw moisture away from your skin to keep you dry, warm and comfortable.
The key to DriClime is 3-Dimensional Wicking. As moisture moves from the inner fabric touching your skin to the outer fabric, it spreads out across the outer fabric to speed the drying process. DriClime never stops working; it continually passes moisture through to the outer surface for fast evaporation. It is not a finish that washes or wears out; it works forever.
DriClime technology is available in a wide range of products: shelled microclimate layers, base layer, gloves, sleeping bags and backpacks.

I read the reviews on this jacket and to be honest I found some of them to be on the edge of being unbelievable. When I received the jacket in the mail not long ago, I have to admit I thought there was no way it could do everything people say it can do. As winter drew to a close this year, I took this jacket with me to a golf course on a sunny day of about 72 degrees. As the day went on, some clouds rolled in, the wind picked up and temperatures dropped to around 60 55 degrees. Add in the wind chill and it felt probably more like 45. So I threw on this jacket and was INSTANTLY warm. I mean the jacket had been in my bag so it was the same temperature as the outside but it felt warm the second it touched my skin. On top of that the wind was moving at a good clip as it often does on a golf course but I couldn't feel ANY of it through this jacket. This is one of the most amazing jackets I own. I will never do any outside activities now without taking it along it is honestly that astounding. The only thing I don?t like about it as that the material on the inside gets stuck on my hands as I put them through the sleeves. It makes my hands feel as if they are covered with sandpaper because the material catches on them. Guess I need to start using lotion or something.
The Marmot DriClime has what amounts to almost a cult following... and for good reason - it is incredibly useful under many different situations. For some its a running jacket, for others its for climbing. Personally I use it for everything from a warm, versatile, windproof and water resistant layer while backpacking... to a jacket to throw over a t-shirt on a chilly morning walk.
The DriClime packs down very small, about the size of a softball, and is very light. Between the pit vents and the full zipper it breathes well enough that you can keep it on, even when warm, and use it as a sunshade. It cuts wind like few other layers, arguably as well or better than GoreTex PacLite. The fabric has a great feel to it, similar to silk or rayon. The interior is a very soft brushed fabric that feels fantastic. I've worn a pack over my DriClime many times, and I have yet to see wear on the jacket from the pack itself. The quality is top notch, what you would expect from Marmot.
If you're looking for a multi-faceted, useful, comfortable jacket that will last you decades... here it is. Its so incredibly versatile that you'll likely wind up finding yourself putting it to uses that you hadn't originally planned. And the few times you don't need it you can throw it in your pack and hardly notice the extra 8 ounces. It has a cult following for a reason.
What else can I say. I have owned this jacket for 6 years and absolutely love it. I tend to sweat in the pits and love the venting this offers under the arms. This jacket is very warm for as thin as it is and the shell material holds up really well. I have even snagged this in an atc while catching a falling friend, still no tears. This layer goes with me everywhere and is my go to when backpacking for a light layer that will add needed warmth and protection from the wind. The only thing I wish this jacket had was hand pockets but really it is not a jacket and more of a layer to be worn under a shell. I have a large in this and it fits well, I am 5'10" and 165 lbs.
I love love this thing. I have had it a year and I have used it biking hiking rock and ice climbing skiing and around town. It sheds wind really well and gives you just a bit of insulation. Perfect for when you are doing something active but there is a chilly wind. It fits in a small compression sack nicely so you can clip it to the back of your harness and use it at windy belays. My only complaint is that it has kind of a "boxy" fit in the body. I have a large and the torso and sleeve lengths are fine, I just feel like I have a box around my torso. I'm 6'6" and 170 pounds
I love all the driclime products I've tried. This is a little bit no frills, so if you want more pockets and a hood, check out the Ether Jacket. But for the money this is a great product. Super breathable and light. It's pretty light, wind and water proof so you can certainly wear it as an outer piece (like running on really crappy days) but I've gotten the most mileage out of this thing as a layer under a shell or down. Dollar for dollar it's about as useful a piece of clothing as you can get.
The Marmot DriClime windshirt is an amazing little shirt. Yup. It's a shirt. A shirt that will keep you warm if you're moving, regardless of the temperature. This thing kept me nice and toasty last year in 0 degree+ weather. You can wear it by itself if it's above 20 but you should layer something over it if below 20 degrees. When the going gets tough, the tough wear Marmot while hauling as$. Also, before I forget, it seems ridiculously light, too light, when you first open its packaging but... it is truly amazing gear.
I use this jacket for backpacking and running in cooler and windy climates (20- 40 F) The jacket is extremely versatile and dries extremely fast. The jacket is extremely comfortable and breathes really well. i am 5' 8'' and 165 lbs, the medium fits perfect. i usually wear a synthetic t-shirt to a silk weight top on underneath depending on the temperature. If i get cool in the lower temperatures, its not too bad, i just move a little faster. the only down side that I have experienced, it is not very water resistant.
I love this jacket, it really does an awesome job of keeping wind off me. A few comments though:
* You can't expect to layer too much underneath this jacket. Maybe if you order a size up you can.
* This jacket feels like it will rip or otherwise fall apart easily. So far it hasn't, but it feels like a risk.
* The jacket material gets caught up in the zipper really easily. Be careful!
* Water resistance is nice!
* It has vents in the armpit area. Which is actually really nice.
