Rab Microlight Jacket -

Whether you're making an alpine ascent or climbing single-pitch routes up the canyons, weight will always be something on your mind. That's why Rab designed its Men's Microlight Down Jacket to keep the weight down so you don't have to sacrifice warmth for more gear. This jacket is made out of Pertex Microlight fabric, which is windproof, breathable, and the lightest of the Pertex fabrics. In order to increase its durability, Rab added a nylon ripstop lining so you don't have to worry about the jacket tearing from jagged rocks at the belay stance. The Microlight is insulated with 125 grams of 750-fill European goose down to keep you warm in moderately cold conditions.

This jacket has a slim-fit design, which means it's ideal for using as a midlayer for extremely cold and wet ski sessions. The Lycra-bound cuffs keep cold air from breezing up its sleeves and feel soft against your skin. Rab made the chest pocket to double as a stuff sack so you can compress it down and take it with you anywhere despite how much space you have, or don't have.

Rab Microlight Jacket Review:

Reviews:

The jacket seems well-built but is much closer to a down sweater than a jacket. The biggest problems are the high armpits and small-ish sleeves. Granted, I pump a little more iron than most but I bought an XL and I don't think a XXL would make a difference because of the sleeve height and narrowness. This is the second time I've had this problem with a British made jacket. I've never had this problem with Arc, Pat, MH, Marmot. Maybe they don't know about angel-wing construction so they make the pits higher to increase mobility. Idk. Whatever the reason, this is a jacket for slim cats who want a sweater weight down jacket that can be a mid-layer or outer-layer in mild temps.
