Scarpa Mojito Reviews:

Reviews:

I love this shoe! It has a Vibram sole. The footbed is somewhat hard against the ground as compared to most cushioned running shoes, which I like. I wear this shoe for everyday use and walking. The soles grab the pavement and do not slip. The toebox is just wide enough to accommodate my somewhat squarish feet, and my narrow heels do not slip in the shoe. The suede leather gives just a bit - enough to stretch against my foot and not rub against the bones of my foot, although I would be happier if the toebox was a tiny bit wider. I wear a women's size 9.5 and the men's 8.5 fits perfectly. I contacted Scarpa directly by email to ask if the men's model has a wider toebox than the shoe of the same name marketed to women, and was told that the men's and women's Scarpa Mojito shoes are identical except for the colors. So, with that knowledge, I also ordered the same size in Parrot - a women's Mojito color. The tongue in the shoe does tend to migrate to one side, but the optional loop in the tongue helps a little with that issue. I also ordered the Superfeet Black insert for arch support and these fit into the shoe perfectly!

I bought these in preparation for hiking Arches National Park. Specifically for wandering through The Fiery Furnace. They were very cosy on the soles, and kept a great grip throughout. The fit is nice as well. Heat doesn't build up in the shoe either, I didn't feel like my feet were melting at any point in the 93 degree weather. The shoe will feel a little tight at first, but after a week of wearing it forms nicely to your foot.
Due to the nice look of these, they can be worn as normal day shoes and still look very nice.
My only negative comment about these shoes would be that there is no padding of any sort above the toes so I had a few blisters. I think this could be easily made up for with slightly thicker socks.. however, wearing any kind of thinner sock you can feel the slight discomfort near the front towards your pinky toe.
I will be keeping these around and wearing them on all future hikes, just need cozier socks.

I have a reputation for simply wrecking shoes. I'm on my feet in my job a lot and I often have heavy gear with me, but I'm expected to look nice (slacks and button up) I tend to gravitate to approach shoes because I like the fit, style and durability and I have tried several brands from Teva to 510, lasportiva, etc. These are the most durable shoes i have ever owned. over a year later (when my shoes are normally toast) they look brand new, and I still wear them to the office, or out on a shoot, or hiking...where ever. The fit is slim and conforming like I like, the support is just right for me and wear is beyond reproach. I just ordered another set to make sure I have a replacement set handy for when these eventually do die. Honestly worth every penny. my bike shoes are 42.5 and i bought 42. They were snug at first but now fit great.

These are probably the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. They are designed and fit like driving shoes with the laces extending up most of the top of the shoe. The arch support is moderate but I always put my own orthodotics in my shoes. They are great for everyday use and have a grippy Vibram sole. They are really light weight, have nearly no break-in period, are very well made, and great looking. I now have two pairs in different colors. A word of caution though; they are also advertised as approach shoes but they are definitely not rugged or water-proof enough to be used as approach shoes. Scarpa has other shoes such as the Gecko that are specifically built for this purpose.

Favorite casual shoe.

The Mojito is one of the most comfortable casual shoes I have ever purchased. The upper materials are soft, comfortable and durable. The sole is a very durable and solid Vibram. There is also some ample mid-sole cushioning. I primarily wear these after a long work day or around town on the weekend. I think they look great. I love the black and the way the laces go all the way down to the toes. Very cool, very comfortable and very well made. I typically fit to a size 11D, but I decided Mojito's in size 11.5 D fit me the best.

I used these shoes to walk on pavement and snow and I have found that they fit to my foot very well and they provide sufficient (stiff) support for walking. Unlike other reviews, I feel that these shoes do not have a good look. I didn't initially notice it when when I ordered them, but since the laces go almost all the way down to the toes, they make the shoe look like bowling shoes. The laces may help the shoe fit better, but they do look slightly silly.

I adore these shoes. I got the boots after a few days of using them was so happy I bought the shoes. They are very comfortable and look great for every day use. For one reason or another I find the boots to be a little more comfortable than the shoes but both feel great, fit like a glove. These shoes/boots are really for casual use or light hiking, not backpacking, there is little support. Overall wonderful product.

These are beyond versatile. I've ran, climbed, hiked, danced, beat around the bush, jumped to conclusions and dodged responsibility in these bad boys. They are way comfortable it didn't take long for them to become the daily companion for my feet. They have held up very well, but my bad habit of treating them like slippers while belaying has tore up the heal so its time for a new pair.

Clay Cundy at Backcountry.com on 11/17/2013
These shoes are very supportive and allow me to adjust for the fact that my left foot is a size smaller than my right due to being adjustable from the ankle to the toe. They are a great walking shoe because they are so lightweight with the support of heavier shoes. These are the 3rd pair I have owned and I'm through with buying heavy shoes.

These shoes can do it all from hiking to looking stylish, the Scarpa Mojitos are the go to shoe. I can look good enough to go anywhere and not look like I've been scaling mountains all day. Or, I can climb mountains all day and have my feet thank me for wearing my Scarpas. Overall a durable versatile shoe.
