With the frigid temperatures we've had this winter, this jacket has been perfect for my daughter. She loves the color (Merlot) because it's striking and unusual -- no one else at school has it. And it keeps her nice and warm. The only issue I have with the style is the fact that the belt isn't adjustable. So for that reason, she usually just leaves the belt undone. I'm still really pleased with the purchase, and as usual Zappos got it to me in record time!

I love every thing about this jacket except for the belt it should be slightly more adjustable. My daughter hates the jacket because she says that when she put its on she feel like she's cooking I take that as a great sign that she is warm walking to and from school.I am also very pleased with the fact that I was able to purchase it on black Friday which gave me a SIGNIFICANT discount.I was also SHOCKED at the the speedy arrival of my order
I love this jacket! My 11 year old gets compliments from her friends and moms! It is very warm and comfortable. We spent a day in Chicago while raining all day and my daughter was warm and dry! The only thing that just happened is that her hair got stuck on the top Velcro. That happened twice but it will not go back I will fix it somehow.

Got this for my daughter and we totally love it! Jacket is super warm and comfy. If you are looking for a very warm jacket, i would recommend it. I do not agree with other 2 reviews, i didn't find this jacket too short or too loose, if you get the correct size then the belt should fit properly.
I'm very happy with this jacket. I bought it for my daughter to wear skiing. It kept her warm and toasty on very chilly days. It's great for everyday wear as well. She loves the belt and the fur lined hood! Although it's a bit pricey I think she will get lots of wear out of it.

Worth It
Needed a new coat to battle the cold in new England. This was top rated and had good reviews, so I went ahead with the purchase. Been very pleases with the warmth it gives in cold weather.
I just bought my four year old this coat and I went a size up to a 7/8 it fits her big but I know this is a coat she can use for the next three years!

Belt poses a design flaw
The picture of the coat shows that the belt cinches the waist which would make sense both for style and function. However, upon receiving the coat, we discovered that the belt is not adjustable and therefore hangs loose around the waist. This somewhat ruins the look of the coat once on, and may even reduce warmth. My daughter decided to keep the coat anyway, but I did not expect this design flaw in such an expensive coat.
