Wonderful buy!
I was a little apprehensive about ordering a winter coat over the internet being that I am the kind of person who needs to try things on and feel the material. I ordered a medium in black, very thick coat that keeps you very warm, doesn't make you feel poofy. I'm 5'5 and the coat just covers my rear end. I have never been more satisfied!
Greta Down Jacket
I received the Jacket a week and it's exactly what I expected. The measurements are good as I was scared as I couldn't try it. Mine is white so I just hope it will be easy to clean.
too stiff,,but idid exchange in store and the salesman got me another style of coat that was better suited for me,,, now im happy

Zipper broke one year after purchase
For one winter this was a great coat. I loved the fit and was excited when I first received it. I would have given it 5/5stars. But at the beginning of winter 2 with the coat, the zipper ripped on the fabric portion. I had to 'climb' in and out of it in fear that I would be without a coat as I live in northern canada. The warranty department was nice but I am required to send my coat in to them to be fixed. It is -40 where I am now. So that means continue to climb in my coat or buy another coat. I purchased another coat with a company known for creating amazing winter coats. Unfortunately my impression of north face has been tarnished. In my job I spend a lot of time wearing a coat, through all the coats I have owned this was the most expensive and the one I got the least wear out of.
Not satisfied
I wasn't very happy with the jacket. It is very, very stiff and not at all what I was expecting. I thought this was more like a puffer coat but it's not at all. The jacket runs HUGE. I ordered a medium and it felt as if it was a large. I can say it is a very warm jacket. It was just not what I was looking for. I will be returning the coat this weekend in exchange for something else.
Not warm
I just wore this coat in Hamilton, Ontario in -14 degrees C. My arms felt cold in just 4 minutes and my torso felt cold in 6 minutes. Under the coat, I was wearing a sweater, cardigan and ruana! This was no warmer than the $65 dollar coat I bought at Sears on sale. Unfortunately, I already took off the label and can't send it back. I'm very angry.
