The North Face Arctic Down Parka Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

After living in Boston for 3 years, I finally shelled out the money for a serious winter coat, and I have never been more glad to part with $300. It has kept me so warm and cozy during these terrible temperatures this winter while everyone around me is shivering (and I'm usually the one complaining of the cold!). The warm hood and the fact that it comes all the way down to my knees makes such a difference. And I like that it has a smooth outer layer--I don't feel quite so much like a giant marshmallow. I was debating between a medium and a small and am glad I went with the medium. It fits comfortably with a thick sweater under it (not that you even need one with this coat) and I don't have any concerns about it being too small at the bust or the hips. Olive color is beautiful and stands out a bit in a city of all black coats. If you are like me and always cold in the winter, I cannot recommend this coat highly enough.

Love this jacket! Needed a warm winter jacket for walking around in the city (NYC) / commuting to & from work. Also wanted one that was snow and waterproof. I am 5 '4 and about 120lbs and the XS fits great. It's snug. I think I could probably get away with a Small too but it might not be as warm since it would be a little bit more loose. The only thing I wish I could change is the hood is on the larger side and gets in the way of seeing... If not for the hood, I would rate this 5 stars.

I'm so glad I got this coat when the weather forecast said Chicago was getting to the 40 below. It fits nice because it doesn't make me look like the Michelline man. It's warm, fashionable and doesn't create a lot of static. I wish it was other color than white, but actually white is working out with all the snow and salt dust hanging to my car. I recommend this coat to anybody who needs to be warm outside but also has to dress light for the hot oven office :-(
Nice coat. Thank you TNF for a good quality product.

I purchased four coats for my daughter to choose from. These coats were similar in style and price. During the trial (front porch and yard in freezing cold on Christmas morning), this coat was clearly the best in terms of quality and most of all warmth. Recently, my daughter told me she wore the coat while walking around town apres' ski and was warm and happy in the biting cold.

This coat is awesome not only is it warm and worth every dime I paid for it. I get lots of compliments. Fits great only one thing I wish they would make this a little longer. Despite it all I would rate 5 stars.

Negative Reviews:

I originally bought a North Face Arctic Park back in 2011, and I loved it to death (literally). I decided to buy a replacement, but when it arrived, I was so disappointed to discover that the company had completely changed the design in the meantime. The coat was practically flat, not cozy or fluffy the way the previous one had been, and it didn't keep much of the wind out. The sizing must have also changed, because the sleeves in the size M were much shorter and the shoulders much narrower than in the previous coat I'd owned. Plus, the material was also different - instead of matte black, it was sort of...shiny and cheap-looking.
Two stars because it's technically still a functional winter coat if you wear enough layers underneath, but that's not really what I was going for. I would've sent it back, but I'm living overseas at the moment and had a family member bring it for me. Such a bummer!
