Padding:

Not too warm and not too cold. At 30 degrees, the Big Agnes Gun Greek Sleeping Bag hits the sweet spot for temperature. The Gunn Creek uses 20 oz of Integrity insulation and only weighs a tad over 3 lbs. Like all Big Agnes Sleeping Bags, the Gunn Creek requires a pad. We recommend the Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Pad but any pad will do if it's the correct size. For the Regular get a 20 x 72 inch pad and for the long you''ll need a 20 x 78 inch pad.

I've only used this bag for a couple of nights on one trip, but it was great. I've had a Big Agnes pad for a couple of years, but this is the first Big Agnes bag I've had to go with it. The little bit of extra room from the square mummy shape is great and worth the little bit of extra weight and space for me. I do wish this bag would come with a compression sack instead of just a stuff sack. Just a couple of lightweight straps sewn into the stuff sack would be great. The zipper snagged a couple of times, but as long as you're somewhat careful it's not bad. I'm not sure there's any way to completely avoid it on any sleeping bag. And for reference, I'm 6'2" and 215lbs and have plenty of room in the long. Now to find a good lightweight compression sack...
This is the first quality sleeping bag I have used and I loved it. Lightweight and packable...quality construction...and I especially like the ability to slip the pad in the bag so there is no rolling or sliding off of it.
Great bag. I used this in Moab in early Sept. It was just right weight-wise. Folds up really small. I was able to carry it inside of my duffel bag. Looking forward to using again.
