Remember that blurry, shadowy figure you saw ripping through the woods last winter? That was the fabled Stash-quatch, and he was riding the Lib Tech Skunk Ape C2 BTX Wide Snowboard. Our furry friend usually keeps a low profile, but he came out of hiding long enough to help Lib Tech develop the ultimate all-mountain freestyle board for lumberjack-sized shredders. The C2 hybrid camber profile, snappy-yet-stompable flex, and a sustainably-farmed Columbian Gold core all keep Mr. Squatch happy while he shreds through the enchanted forest.
C2 BTX Power Banana technology features rocker between the bindings for a floaty and forgiving ride in powder, with camber zones extending from the bindings to the tip and tail to give it a more aggressive feel that provides edge hold on hard pack and pop off of jumps. A directional twin shape and set-back stance gives you more power and control when you're shredding the deep stuff, but still allows you to ride away switch so you can stomp those big back 180s into fluffy landings. Magne-Traction edges are serrated to slice through ice likes it's fresh corduroy, so you can carve down bulletproof slopes with ease while everyone else is sliding out on their asses.
If you happen to actually run into the Stash-quatch this season, there's no reason to worry because he knows that this board was made right here in America using environmentally-friendly methods. Tough soy-based elastomer sidewalls replace toxic ABS, and the lightweight and strong Columbian Gold wood core comes from fast-growing, sustainably harvested trees so you're not contributing to the destruction of the rainforests. Low-VOC resin holds it all together, and the sublimated graphics on the PBT topsheet don't need protection from toxic clearcoat lacquer.
Lib Tech worked with oversized pow nuts from the NW to develop a tool for big guys to slay pow. Built with a stiffer flex, Columbian Gold Core and aggressive C2 Power Banana/Camber Combo; the Lib Tech Skunk Ape C2BTX Wide Snowboard rips through powder with baboon strength and increased pop like you have never seen before. The C2 Banana Rocker combination offers the best features of Banana Tech with rocker between your feet blended with a radial camber to contact points. This focuses pressure between your feet for easy turns, great edge hold on ice and max pressure to the tails for power end-to-end stability pop and control for float in powder in both directions, carving on hardpack and ice and a catch-free freestyle performance. The Skunk Ape has evolved into a big-foot, snow slaying monster of awesome. This board comes in wide size to cater to the shredder with big feet.

The LibTech Skunk Ape Snowboard allows riders with bigger feet to slay the mountain without toe drag. The C2BTX design allows this board to float in powder, hold a solid edge on groomers, and attack everything in between. Magne-Traction edges create seven contact points on each side, giving you great grip even in icy, hardpack conditions. The TNT base infused with Teflon so it loves to go fast and doesn't need much maintenance. With a half-inch setback, this directional board is perfect for the rider who rides mostly regular.

**Just picked this up from the warehouse. Not yet ridden.**
Graphics are SICK!!! Very detailed and the more I look the more cool stuff I find. Can't wait to get this out on the snow.
Second thoughts are the board is pretty heavy in which I should've expected. I got the 172 because I'm 6.6' and the length is perfect but to get that length obviously there will be more weight.
From the eye the rocker under feet, and camber outside the feet look perfect. I've seen boards where it looks completely over used, the board kind of looking like it's been chopped and screwed with too much but looking at this makes sense. Not overly done in the least.
Magnatraction looks dope and excited to see how it handles. I'm expecting it will handle very well, even with the weight.
All around I'm very pleased with this board just by the eye and feel test. It's more than I expected (which was actually a lot after MUCH research) and I think it will fit me quite well being a tall guy. May not be the best for pulling tricks but that's fine with me. I'm hoping the camber/rocker/camber will counter that a bit.
I will post a better review once I get it out on the mountains. If anybody has any questions on this board hit me up on the number on top of this page and my ext is 4039. I'll be more than happy to talk to you about this board and answer any questions.
I was in the market for a new board last year. Took a weekend vacation with the wife to a hill about 2 hrs away. We hit a local snowboard shop (shop local when I can!). They love their Libtech and Neverwinter gear. I got to spend a day on the mountain with a 2012 model of the Skunk Ape. LOVED it. Here in the northeast we dont get a TON of powder and there are a LOT of firm conditions. I was AMAZED at how this board bit into the hill and allowed me to carve with no issues. I never felt like I was going to lose it at any time. I go back to the shop the next day and immediately pick up the 2013 model. Walked out the door a happy man.
