I would warn prospective buyers that this bag is EN Rated to 15F, which means it will be quite toasty at 50 degrees (normal summertime night lows).
Even with the bag fully unzipped I woke up with light sweat on my body. For cold sleepers this would be a perfect 3 season bag, for normal and warm sleepers Id stay away and try and go with a 20-30F bag if you are only expecting to sleep in 3 seasons. That said, you will be plenty warm in early spring and late fall even at altitude (New England mountains altitude that is), even in winter I could see this bag doing just fine in the low teens. Just a heads up.
UPDATE: Spent 2 nights in 15-20 degree temperatures, was toasty warm without tucking my head into the mummy section of the bag.
This could be considered a 3 season bag as in spring, fall and winter (high single digits as the lowest temp), or a 4 season bag if you experience cold summers.
I say 4 season factoring in the ability to add 2 handwarmers in the handwarmer pocket located in the footbox.
Other than their advertising as a do it all 3 season bag, this bag is fantastic.
Have used it mostly on bikepacking trips. Kept me very very warm even near the lower limits. Ive used it in the low twenties and I had to zip it down because I started sweating. Bag got a bit wet a couple times from rain but did not lose its loft. Never got soaked so I don't know how it would fair then. Compresses pretty small and at only 3 pounds has become a staple in my sleeping system. Only bad thing I can say is that the zipper snags pretty often but has never caused anything to rip or any damage to the bag.
This sleeping bag is nice and warm. Using it in the summer you might want to use a liner ad only pull it partially over you as needed. In colder weather this thing will keep you warm. It is rated down to 15 and for me at least that is pretty accurate. Some of the features on this bag come in handy like the pocket to keep small things you might need in the night or the pouch in the foot box to put some hand warmers in. Over all this is a really good bad
Bought it for my teenager. He loves it - taken it to the Wind Rivers WY (cold and rainy) and a few other high elevation camps. He kept warm and comfy on all of them. He enjoys how small it packs down and how light it is - compared to his old synthetic. Worth the buy!
The Sawtooth is an all-around great three season sleeping bag. The regular is comfortable for me (I'm 5' 10") and keeps me warm even toward the bottom of its EN lower limit. It comes in at a great weight and I love the footbox, hand warmer compatible pockets. It's currently on sale to boot!
I sleep with this bag every night of my life. It was my home on the PCT for 1000+ miles and now is my bedding at home on the floor. Best bag I've ever had.
