Pedal comfortably around town in the sustainability conscious Kai Knicker.
The prAna Women's Kai Knicker is a pair of bottoms that will ride slightly below the knee comfortably. Made with vintage cargo styling in mind, the Kai Knicker will surely surpass a good portion of your wardrobe on favoritism. The 96% organic cotton and spandex blend makes for easy wearing stretch canvas, with drawcords at the waist and hemline letting you control the fit. Stretch slub canvas. Drawcord at waist and hem. Side and back cargo pockets. Articulated knee. Zipper fly. Made from 96% Organic Cotton / 4% Spandex. Weight: 5 oz. 13" inseam.
With an adjustable waist, adjustable legs, multiple pockets, and plenty more features to let you know you’re getting your money’s worth, the Prana Kai Knickers are one of the hottest items on the shelves this season. The 15-inch inseam means that these knickers are a bit longer than your basic shorts, but they’re not some redneck high-waters that will make you the laughing stock of the streets. These Prana Kai Capri pants give you coverage over your knees without stiffening up your leg movement, plus they’re comfortable and durable with plenty of storage.

I am SO happy about the fit of these shorts! It is rare that I find a pair of prAna shorts/pants in a size 0, usually I only see them go down to a size 2. I have decided that I cannot wear prAna pants because they do not make them long enough. If I get a size 2, they are WAY too wide in the hips but still to short in length. But when getting a short/capri I don't have the length problem anymore and because these shorts came in a 0 AND they have a drawcord waist, I can make them fit my hips perfectly! It's a wonderful feeling when clothes truly fit :)
I was also pleasantly surprised with the color. I got these in the zinc color and it ended up being darker than the picture, which I like because then they won't look dirty too quickly. And the mesh pockets? Icing on the cake!
Loved it so much I bought two. Finally a cute pair of womens' capris with large cargo pockets! Front pockets are deep with mesh interiors. Tie waist is indeed low-rise. I'm 5'4" and the capri length just covers my knee caps, maybe a bit lower when the waist is tied looser. Have a 39" hip and the size 8 fits very well. Fabric is light weight but sturdy. Buttons are flat so I can sleep in these without the buttons jamming into me. Aegean color is more blue-green than shown in the photo -- it's a beautiful rich color. Stone color is a light khaki that goes with just about anything.
I have these in Espresso, size 6 (I am 5'6", 135), and they are super comfy. I have a tendency to rate clothing on a scale from 'Zero' to 'Can I climb in it?', and these max out the scale pretty well. The attention to feminine and functional detail is something that prAna does better than many of their competitors, and these knickers are no different. They come out of the wash like new, look great running errands or being casual at work, and are the perfect weight for heading up the canyon on the way home. Love these!
i loved these pants immediately. the opal color is a really pretty light grey, the fabric is soft and comfy, yet structured. they also fit perfectly in the waist and rear, which is hard to find. (i ordered a 4 and i'm 5'9", 125 lbs). they would have been the pants i've been looking for, except for the length. these were bermuda shorts on me.... they didn't cover the knee at all. i wish Prana made these exact same pants in a capri length!
These pants are great... I ended up buying these in a size bigger than normal hoping that they wouldnt be too big and I could have plenty of room to move...Big mistake...they are huge! But still good enough for a light hike, run, or grocery store run! These are SUPER comfortable and are very flattering for my figure. I love the dangeling cords and the drawstring close! If they had them in more colors, I would buy them all!!
Bought all 4 colors since I am petite they fall just below the knee and the rise is perfect, Very comfortable. Easy care, and I don't dry them in the dryer just fluff on air and I hang them on my drying rack. I recommend them to anyone who has a short torso and with the draw string adjusting is easy.
These pants are an everyday fave. They're lightweight, super comfortable and have great styling. They look great after many washings too. These are the best Prana pants I've found. Hope they keep this style and perhaps add a Kai Kapri to their line.
I have these in dark grey and stone. I love the dark grey pair, but the stone collects lint and fuzz like crazy. The fit is similar to other Prana pants/capris, and the length is just at my knee.
These pants are very well made and great lightweight material. About fit, they really are meant to fit below the waist, although the rise is not excessively short. Nice pants, I bought too big a size and may reorder!
Good for outdoors and also just wearing around casually. Comfortable and lightweight. The hanging strings at the knees aren't great if you're around cats, but other than that they don't bother me.
I returned mine, the color (chocolate) was a little green looking, and I did not like the draw-strings hanging everywhere. The main problem, though was the fabric- it was just too heavy for my super-hot climate. (It seems like Columbia is making the lightest-weight clothes out there right now.) I am petite and these pants did fit well, hit just below the knee.
