On Point
This watch is the best one I have ever owned. I have broke 3 Luminox Navy SEALs, 2 MTM Patriots, numerous Timex Ironmans, G-SHOCK Riseman, Frogman and mudman, and various other watches. I am nothing special just a run of the day Soldier who has gone through various training to include airborne and etc. I also rode patrol with the police for 2 years while in college and love to climb mountains and adventure. I picked up this watch at the AAFES at FT Eustis, VA and never regreted spending [$]. It has went through 2 years of Army life, we are now deployed to Afghanistan and I look forward to spending the rest of my career with this bad boy. Never had any issues and I hope it never breaks on me.
Excellent watch.
Excellent quality highly durable and very versatile. Using this on deployments. Was previously issued with Suunto Xlander but the Suunto core is a more durable and usable feature packed instrument. The only down side is that you can not attach an after market bezel covering military watch band to it becuase of the way it is designed. Overall excellent quality. Compass and altimiter more accurate than my previous casios. Highly recomended for active duty personnel.
Great accurate watch
Go to YouTube for instructions on how to provision settings. Owners paperwork sucks w/little and no instructions on how to set anything. Frustrating to say the least.Owned a Suunto Vector for a number of years. Compass dial markings rubbed off but it has kept accurate time over the years. May drift 1-2 seconds at most. Excpect Core to do the same.Oh yeah, Campmor price and free shipping beats [@] easily.
Great Watch
I am very happy so far with this watch. It looks amazing and not as bad to set up and program as others here seem to claim. There are youtube tutorials as well. *** Keep in mind the numbers are much darker than portayed in photographs. Even the backlight feature is dark. I like that for camping as I don't want to blind myself. Truly a night-ops watch.
Great watch
This watch is great! It does everything you could ever need when in the woods! The depth gadge is also a really cool feature! Takes a little bit to figure out how to work all the features but once you've got it it's really all quite simple! Would certainly recommend this to anyone who spends a good deal of time in the outdoors!!
The total package
I was a little skeptical about buying this watch at first but, when I got it I was very glad I made this purchase. It is very easy to use and has all the features you would need for the outdoors. The back ligh is very bright and the display is very easy to read.
My New Favorite watch
Currently using the watch in the War on Terrorism, this thing is Great and takes a beating during the most harsh conditions and situations. I especially love the excess watch band that locks in place so it does not move. Best watch I have owned hands down.

I purchased this watch for I needed something durable to withstand the rough environment I.e. the front lines ofa war zone. I will put this watch to test and see if it makes it. So far I don't have any complaints.

This watch is great. It is perfect for weekends and when working in the yard or on household projects when I don't want to wear my dress watch. It also has great functionality for hiking, camping, etc. Great product!
Suunto Core-Awesome Watch!
I love this watch. I am avid backpacker & camper & its great in the woods. Love the altimeter/barometer. Compass is great too! It's also just a nice looking watch to wear everyday! Overall great watch w/very useful functions!

Not all it is Cracked up to be
Man This is not the tool that I thought it would be. It is a delicate piece of junk that is innacurate. You constantly have to recalibrate it in order for it to be accurate. I basically have a [$] watch with a compass and stopwatch. Dont buy this unless you like headaches...I calibrated the altitude at about 8500 ft and by the time we got to the summit it was more than 1500 feet off from the actual elevation. I would send it back if I could get a refund.
Disappointed
I didn't keep it long enough to assess its performance. I immediately found it to be difficult to read. The glare from the crystal and the dim display when inside were a problem for me. Maybe twenty-somethings and young soldiers do not have this problem, but I do as a middle-age user. I ordered it based on reviews which described it as easy to see!
