My son is a typical rough and tumble six year old. For this school year I decided to spend the extra money and buy a jacket that would last; I was not dissapointed. This jacket works great in all weather, is snug (fits a litte on the small size as a heads up) and comes in many different color combos. I was abit sheepish about the fleece and polyester combination but it turns out it works just fine. My son recently ventured into the snow in this jacket and although the fleece got wet it didn't soak through, this is a stylish windproof lightweight jacket that has held up surprisingly well through ninja kicks, army rolls and endless adventures. I highly reccommend.
I have four children and I buy them yearly. I always buy them from backcountry.com-- best prices around! I love the NF's they hold up to multiple washes, etc. I use to buy them bigger to get more use out of them but for the cheap prices- I now buy them true to size because by the end of the year they're usually wore out!! :) We live in Indiana and they wear them year 'round. Even on cooler summer nights. Perfect jackets! Love them and love that we get a full year of use from them. They're perfect for all Indiana weather! This will be my 3rd year purchasing from this site! Thank you Backcountry!
This is the 4th Black Denali North Face that I have purchased for my son . He is 13 so he grows a lot every year. & needs a new one every winter..... His birthday is in December so it's a great gift. He loves how it is warm but not bulky. I love how it looks and how it washes so well and still looks great after several washes.... I would definitely recommend this jacket to anyone who wants a stylish & warm comfortable jacket for their child or themself.....I give it 5 stars for quality &. for prompt delivery & great price with free shipping .......
I buy one of these every year for my little guy. He is 10 now and HATES wearing down coats. Refuses to wear anything with a hood. This is the perfect solution. It is pricey but he uses it everyday and stays nice and toasty without the bulk. Sizing is a little off. My son has a slim athletic build. He wears an average size 10 /12 but we had to buy him a large (14/16). The north face we had last year (10/12) was to short in arms to wear again this year. The large fits great!
We've been buying this jacket for our 3 boys for the past three years. They are made well enough that they get handed down to the next kid in line and still look great. Our oldest is on his 3rd jacket and I don't forsee stopping anytime soon. We've had to replace a few simply because the kids have lost them and refuse to go without! The heavyweight fleece is perfect for spring and fall and the occasional warm winter day. Love it!
My son has worn his fleece for just about a week and the zipper already broke off. I am very disappointed
