The North Face designed its Men's Slasher Cargo Pant to take a beating while you slam, slide, fall, and bleed all over the terrain park. Its durable HyVent 2L and fully taped seams keep you dry when massive snow storms hit the mountain or when you're sitting at the top of the resort waiting for your buddies to finally make it off the chairlift. The lining combines taffeta with brushed tricot to slide over a baselayer with ease, and The North Face added a mesh lining for breathability while you drag yourself up the park for another beatdown.

The Slasher has a park fit to give plenty of room for mid-layers on frigid days. There are zippers at the inner-thighs with mesh gussets in case you get too hot. Ankle gaiters prevents snow from riding up your legs no matter how fast you slide down a kicker's landing ramp. Reinforced edge guards make sure you don't tear up the bottoms, adjustable waist tabs ensure you don't lose your knickers after face-planting off a curvy box, and the Lot Lift System lets you cinch up the cargo pockets to keep you looking slick when you don't have food stashed away.

Killer Pants

I just purchased these pants before xmas. I was looking for something new to ride on because I was tired of the same plain jane black North Faces Ive been riding with the past 5 years. The Slasher Cargo kept me water proof and the wind off my legs for the 14 hours I spent skiing on Elk Mt. Offers Fleece lined pockets, zipper vents for when you get to hot while shredding the mt side and fleece bad on bottom for you boarders out there that are sitting at the top waiting to drop in for your turn. These are not insulated but with some Cold gear base layer I was good to go all day with no issues what so ever. Love the pants give them a 5 star for what I was looking for now to find a Jacket to go with it and my new gear up is complete :)
Tpro at The North Face on 12/29/2013

Pair these guys up with a pair of insulated bottoms for a base layer and you can take on whatever the mountain throws at you. Was recently up at Brighton and there was a high of 2 degrees. These pants kept out the wet and the cold. Reinforced cuffs help keep em from getting shredded and they come in a number of fresh colors

soild pants

these pants are solid, waterproof for snowy days, with a pair of long underwear they kept me warm in 12deg F. the pockets are roomy enough for gear but not too bulky. the only thing i would add is some sort of reinforcement panels on the inside of the legs & rear to protect from ski/board edges.
JHCA at The North Face on 02/07/2014

They are solid for what they are, not top of of the line, but not crappy either. I'm happy with these pants. I like the baggy cargo feel. I would rather save money on pants & spend more money on other gear that is a little bit more important.

Todd Kehoe at Backcountry.com on 09/21/2013

The pants are baggy and have a really sick feel, but they are not true to the color at all, at least for the "majestic red". They are a bright pink or salmon color. Cool pants though.

blap784663 at Backcountry.com on 10/16/2013

relatively simple but fit to form pants for the snow

Negative Reviews:

Warm pants, but that doesn't really take much. First day I used these it was a bit wet and although water didn't totally seep through to my baselayers, the pants were a bit damp. You get what you pay for, and these are a good pant for the price - but I wish I had gotten something a bit more durable and waterproof.

Neutral Reviews:

i bought these pants brand new for this ski season. i have put 8 total days on them and already the cuffs are entirely cut up (i always roll them never step on them) and the hips are starting to wear through, like abrasions. i ride park so i am hard on pants especially but these have not held up nearly as long as most pants. usually it takes a full season for patns to get as beat up as these are already. on the bright side all the zippers work great and the pockets are really convenient. the water proofing is also really solid. the strings located inside the cargo pockets that when pulled roll up the cuffs are an awesome feature as well. over all they are not bad pants, but could be way more durable.
