Well-made sturdy shoe
I use this product for walks and runs with dogs on paths, wet fields, roads and trails. This is my third pair. They're a little roomy for my narrow foot but with winter socks (and sometimes gators in snow) they hold up pretty well for almost a year of walking with a little running here and there. The laces and loops break at this point and the fabric gets holes before the soles wear out. (I like the durability of the cloth better than other running shoes, though.) I'd love them if the shoes were made with eyelets and laces, not loops and pull-strings. They're a pain. The support is good, comfortable with some cushion for my bad knee.
Solomon Women's XA Comp 6 GTX trail Runn
These are my very favorite shoes for walking. I LOVE them. I have used them for the last 4 years - different year models. They were the ONLY shoe I could wear when I had plantar fasciitis. They even helped my foot alot - so much so that I didn't have to wear my orthodic in this shoe! They have been totally comfortable, arch supporting shoes that consistently keep my feet dry in wet weather. I will ALWAYS wear these shoes.
Incredible Comfort!
I was looking for a sturdy, water-proof shoe with good support for a trip to Alaska. These were on sale so I took a chance and ordered them. These may be the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I've been wearing them on hikes/walks to break them in and my feet have never felt better. I wore them in NYC (in torrential rain) when I was on my feet for several hours. My feet stayed dry and didn't hurt.

I had a pair of similar Solomon shoes in a different style they were a better fit. I like that they are waterproof, I am a gardener and work in the dew every morning they really keep my feet dry.

Terrific winter running shoes
This is my third pair of salomon winter running shoes and I've always been happy with their performance. They have great traction, though in icy conditions I will put stabilicers over them.
They are warm and dry initially, but tend to lose the waterproofing after a few months.

Put on hike out
Very sorry to see this particular shoe to be discontinued. It is one of the shoes in this make and brand that fit properly. The non gortex was to wide. I would and have recommended this shoe but it is a try on before purchase.
This is the perfect shoe for me.
I walk at least 4 miles a day on urban sidewalks. This purchase was my third pair. The shoes are great for traveling and easy to take on and off at airports. They were the only shoe I wore on a recent three week vacation.

Poorly sewn
The machine stitches connecting the tongue to the body of the shoe at the top of the laces were hard and painful in both shoes. Sloppy work. This was my third pair of Salomons, so I thought I could just order them with out trying them on. Very disappointed.

I have ordered 6 pairs of these sneakers in the past and love them. The picture of these sneakers online gave me the impression that there were different types of greys on the sneaker. They are all black however and so I sent them back.
